Indonesia's Gastrodiplomacy To Türkiye As An Effort To Increase Turkish Tourists To Indonesia (2019 - 2022)

In the dynamic realm of global tourism, Indonesia has progressively embraced gastrodiplomacy as a strategic instrument to attract and charm international tourists. This research explores Indonesia's strategic initiatives to utilise its abundant culinary legacy to entice Turkish tourists from 2019 to 2022. This research thoroughly examines the dynamics of Indonesian-Turkish culinary diplomacy by carefully scrutinising the many techniques used by Indonesia and the intricate elements that impact their level of success. The research explores Indonesia's strategy by reviewing the theoretical foundations of soft power, resource spectrum, and gastrodiplomacy as strategic tools. The text carefully analyses the conceptual framework, which includes the neoliberal paradigm and its effects on foreign policy, as well as the distinct role of gastrodiplomacy in promoting cultural understanding and bridging geographical gaps. The study thoroughly examines several aspects of Indonesia's gastrodiplomacy projects, organised into separate chapters. It illuminates the tactics, including culinary events and festivals, chef exchanges, and partnerships with Turkish media organisations. In addition, the research thoroughly examines the elements that affect the efficiency of these efforts, such as the changing tastes of Turkish tourists, cultural sensitivity, and the influence of external events like the global pandemic.
