China well-known as a communist country on its political activity. As the fact that communism is the anti thesis of democracy. Then how come democracy life style can exist even growing up in the middle of China political communism ideology? This paper will show the big picture about that and its dynamics. At the first, this paper will explain what actually happen with democracy and China, which is about the ownership of Hong Kong between Britain and China historically. And then, this paper will specifically and intensify speak about the history of Hong Kong itself as basic knowledge to understand Hong Kong dynamics after that. Next topic in this paper will talk about the main issue namely how democracy implementation in Hong Kong has been diminishing under China communism authority and also how the impact, the challenge democracy need to face. This paper also explain how people in Hong Kong, especially they who self pro-claim themselves as pro democracy activists struggle for the sustainability of democracy in their land by demonstration, down to town, to show how people power works, and absolutely to ask the China government for giving back their rights, democracy as written in the Joint Declaration between Britain and China in 1997. At the end, this paper provides an interesting conclusion about democracy degree in Hong Kong that has been diminishing by using some democracy indicators.
