Drinking a cold water is one of the main needs in tropical country like Indonesia. Drinking the water with ice cubes is different from drinking the cold water that has been stored in the freezer, by adding ice cubes the water will turn cold instantly and gives the different sensation. The common used ice cubes at home are made from water with the ice tray as a mold and froze in a domestic or a private freezer. The shape and function of ice tray keeps changing as the technology develops. Twist ice maker is the most common used type of ice tray nowadays. Twist ice maker is not apart from problems. Problems that users encountered when using the twist ice maker is hard to fill the suggested amount of water with a dispenser, most of the time the water exceeded. Another problems are hard to carry the twist ice maker one-handedly without spilling the water and most of the times the ice cube sticked to the ice bucket. The research objective is to give a solution to the problems by using these following methods; questionaire, observation, interview and literature. The next process is to design the ice maker that ease the user based on research results. The results of the research is the ice tray that can be stacked according on how much the user desired and also having a color that gives the user coolness. The all-rounded shape of the ice and twist mechanism that follows the size of a hand can ease the user when making and preparing the ice.
