Set during the end of World War II. Black Book is the story of a Dutch Jewish, Rachel Stein, narrowly survives the war in Holland. She joins the resistance, under the identity of Ellis de Vries. To find out who betrayed and killed her family in an attempt to reach the liberated south. Ellis has work as a spy seducing a Nazi officer, Ludwig Muntze. During her assignment, Rachel recognizes Gunther Franken as the commander of the attack who killed her family and later she discovers that the murders are part of a scheme with a traitor in the resistance team.
